APPELLATE PRACTICE

Stone & Johnson attorneys have a successful record in state and federal court appellate practice. Several attorneys in the Appellate Practice Group have served as appellate court law clerks prior to joining the firm. Accordingly, they possess a practical working knowledge of the appellate process and the insight to persuasively present their client’s case. The firm’s appellate attorneys have made significant contributions to the development of the law in Illinois, Indiana and in the Federal courts. Although the firm handles its own appeals, much of the firm’s appellate work consists of cases reassigned from other firms which have handled the litigation at the trial court level, but lack the experience necessary to aggressively pursue or defend an appeal.
